I ordered a full set to replace all for shocks on my 2004 Ford F150 4X4. I had recently installed tires one size larger than original--no clearance problems, but wanted just a little lift to make sure no rubbing on hard bumps. I also wanted to raise the front end just a smidge, and the adjustable feature of these shocks was perfect. Put the clip in the 1" position and installed. I had no problem compressing the front coil springs with a standard spring compressor. Just remember, especially on heavy truck springs, take your time and tighten side to side evenly. No problems on installation of theses shocks (just problems removing the top nut on the first old one--my fault). With only floor jack and stands to lift the truck, figure 2-3 hours per side in front and a half hour for the rear. So far, very pleased with the results and the product.
