The cot is sturdy and well made [not a piece of crap]. Very easy to setup, you don't really need instructions. I use it for motorcycle camping trips. Its packed size is a little long to strap on the back of the bike but not too bad. The rain fly works as it should and I found it much drier then a tent in the rain. Also water and dirt don't get inside like a ground level tent. The cot is much easier to get in and out of then a tent. An air matrass is not necessary but nice to have. It is definitely not for backpacking. I am 6'6 240 lbs. The cot is pretty cool and I'm happy with the purchase.
