I used this on threads because I wanted something that would lock it up permanently and this did the trick. I have a piece of threaded plumbing pipe going in to a flange that is bolted to the garage floor. I have one of those automatic compressor hose reels u bolted to the post. The problem was that whenever I pulled on it from any angle except perfectly perpendicular from the post the whole thing would turn.

Once I put this stuff on there, let it set up, it does not budge what so ever. I know this isn't the intended use, but if just sharing my example of what I used it for and it worked perfectly for the job.
