Toyota Pickup 89-95 LED Taillights Red/Clear - (Sold in Pairs) Review

I was excited to get these tail lights in and install them on my Hilux.

Installation was easy, it was straightforward.

Operation?

Failed. big fail. LED's work bright and consistently, for one side.
The right side was running opposite. it was bright off brake and dimmed on brake, and it dimmed upon right turn signal.
I took them off, observed the wires, saw that a set of wires were swapped.
Instead of being a big sore about it, I just made a simple cut, strip, crimp, seal, and reinstalled the tail lights.
They work well, they look sharp, and it gives my Hilux a facelift in the rear. It gives a nice modern appeal with the technology of LED's. The design doesn't overdo anything. I'm asking, what kind of reverse bulb does it have? and why halogen?

And I was upset finding that the same tail lights go for cheaper elsewhere online.
