Do not buy this kit if you want to be able to see the buttons. They are not illuminated. For all the technology this thing has built into it, the knuckleheads that designed it just painted on the labels for the buttons, there is no light behind them. So, if you are driving at night, you will need to switch on your dome light or map light to see the buttons. Good luck with that as you're driving 65 mph in the rain and the windows are fogging up and you want to turn on the defrosters - you'll need to take your eyes off the road more than you normally would.

Also, this kit it is missing a lot of the buttons that the factory kit has. You have to hit the Mode button to switch the air flow to the vent you want the air to come out of. How insane. There is so much room on the surface of this adapter they could have easily fit the individual buttons like the factory kit had. Oh by the way, the instructions don't tell you this. I had to call Metra and stay on hold for almost 10 minutes before I got an answer on how to re-direct airflow.

I have manual A/C control - see the other user's review if you have auto climate control or dual zone climate control. Apparently this kit doesn't work with that.

Last, the instructions are really lacking. When using the double DIN installation, there are two "footers" at the end of the brackets in the back. They SHOULD line up with the two factory-provided screw holes. Not only do they not line up great, the instructions don't tell you to put the brackets on top of or underneath the factory screw holes. Actually, the instructions don't say anything about these screw holes at all.

This kit will work but for 200 or 250 bucks (depending who you buy it from,) I wish they would design it a lot better and provide complete instructions. Again, good luck driving at night.
