For $125 this helmet simply outperforms all dual sport helmets in the under $200 class, and all in the under $350 class for that matter. I have an XL which fits about true to size similar to Arai, HJC, Scorpion. Fits my oval head nicely. The ratchet style strap is neat ... just clip the extra strap material. All vents close. Visor is clear even with prescription glasses. Mine is the Silver Strike which looked better in pictures but in person it has more white than I like. In retrospect I should have bought the matte black. Also in XL this helmet looks a bit like a puffy oversize balloon and the mostly white color is not slimming. Do not compare this to the previous generation FX-37 which had optical distortion, peak lift, and less oval fit. The Fulmer DS and Joe Rocket DS helmets both have pretty notorious peak lift above 50 mph. I've been up to 115 mph (GPS) with this lid and the lift is not bad. At a more reasonable 80 mph lift is minimal, noise is low. Goggles fit with visor up or down, though beware that only smaller goggles fit. The air space around my goggles is very tight (Scott Recoil Pro barely fit, Oakley Pro do not fit). The ratchet shin strap makes on/off quicker than my other dirt helmet and with slighly worse venting than a dirt only helmet that extra time saved is nice. But for pure off road on my XR400R, I prefer an MX helmet with larger goggle port to fit my goggles of choice (Oakley Pro). For true dual sport rides in cold, wet, or mixed highway this helmet is better than my MX (GMAX GM76x) or street helmet (Scorpion EXO 900). For a pure highway road trip on my V-Strom I usually go for the modular street helmet which is slightly quieter, has flip down sun visor, and allows removal of helmet without taking off my glasses. Would I want this helmet as my only helmet? No, but it's closer than either of my other helmets and is a good choice those seeking a dual sport lid.
