Full iPod / iPhone Control

Play your music through your iPod/iPhone just like you always would via a 30-Pin Dock connector cable that connects to the back of the BV9362BI and is in the form of a USB port.

Important: If your Boss Audio receiver has a USB port in the front of, like most do, you will not be able to have the "Full iPod/iPhone control." This will only work if you insert a USB memory stick only. Basically the same function as an SD memory card port.

Compatible With Audio Output of iPod / iPhone, Smartphones, and MP3 Players

On the front of the BV9362BI is an input labeled "AUX," which allows the input of audio signals from MP3 players, smartphones, and portable music players using a cable with two 3.5mm male plugs.

Important: Please note that this feature is not the same as the "Full iPod Control." This feature will only allow you to control your music and video by clicking on the designated buttons via the face or front side of your unit.

Steering Wheel Interface

RDS Tuner

The Radio Data System allows FM broadcasters to send more than an analog audio signal out over the airwaves. Using a 57 kHz "subcarrier," stations can transmit digital RDS data �� depending on what the broadcaster transmits and what your tuner can pick up, you can receive information such as the name of the artist/song, name of the station, genre, traffic information, and more.

Boss BV9362BI Bluetooth-Enabled In - Dash Double - Din DVD/MP3/CD AM/FM Receiver Review

I installed this unit in a 2003 GMS Sonoma. Double DIN fit very well, small modification required due to depth of unit. Overall I would rate this unit an 9 out of 10.

PROS

Rotary volume control, in my opinion much easier to use over push buttons (either hardware or on screen software buttons)
The GPS button will toggle between the active audio source and the GPS software--Nice
Radio function and graphic excellent
Sound equalization and tone controls excellent
iPod function and graphic very good
CD function-nothing special, it just works
DVD function-again nothing special, it just works--excellent picture
AUX-IN--I use the rear audio AUX-IN to listen to an external satellite radio receiver. This function works well
Bluetooth function-phone book transfers to unit, accepts calls from any audio/navigation mode, switches to Bluetooth function for call then returns to previous mode. Bluetooth music function works well, with play, next, previous and pause supported. No display of file/song name. Overall rating very good
Rear Camera-I added a license plate mounted rear view camera which functions very well with this unit--excellent
GPS Navigation--Over all I give this function a very good to excellent. I have the external GPS antenna mounted on top of the dash (antenna cable not long enough to route to the outside the truck). USA maps appear to reasonably up to date. Navigation routing--average. I have seen better routes and most certainly have seen worse. Over all pleased with the GPS function.

CONS

USB/SD MP3 audio function-this is a letdown. Sound is good, but graphic and file navigation leave a lot to be desired. Unit does not properly display long file names which makes navigation difficult. I give this function a mediocre rating
USB/SD Video function. Very poor. I have yet to find a file format that the unit can read.
Front AUX-IN too close to the volume control as is the front USB input
Boot time. From the time power is applied, it takes about 6 seconds for this unit to boot to the last audio input (radio, AUX-IN, etc.) active before previous power-off. Then it takes another 10 seconds for the GPS software to boot.

Considering price/performance of this unit, I would purchase again for second vehicle and would recommend it to a friend.
