First off let me just say that this product did do its job sort of. Alright so my three complaints about this product is that it did not fit my double din radio at first and required me to shave down all the sides, after I finally got it to fit I then noticed that three of my HVAC unit lights where lit up and I could not get them to go off so now I am stuck with trying to guess what modes I am in, and lastly I can not change the letters in my display cause it will not scroll left or right so now I am stuck with it saying METRA's RX8. For this unit costing this much one would expect it to be flawless but it is far from it and METRA should be ashamed of producing such a low quality product.

I purchased the Spare Kit after being stranded one day at work on a gravel/dirt back road with a flat. The scissor jack that came with my work car would not work on loose dirt, the base would not stay grounded enough to raise the car. I have bought two other makes of leather jackets, and this one is my favorite of the three jackets. The detailing is better, the fit is better and the finish of the jacket is better than even the $450 one from L.L. Bean. I especially like the leather covered elastic bottom rather than the cloth/stretch bottom on the other two jackets, the leather on this Carroll jacket is heavy leather, and is distressed and then finished nicely, has a nice shine to the leather which is unique. This is a great recreation of a WWII era bomber jacket. The cuffs have one snap button for fasteners, zipper up the front, two inside pockets and four outside lower pockets. Leather is thick and strong, leather smells really good. Liner is quality material. Jacket is heavy weight and warm! I love it!

I don't get why you get the extra liter of fluid. I found instructions on line and bought a $5 funnel instead of the $180 hose assembly. Took me an hour and saved me over $200 at the dealership. This is a helmet boasting features of much higher priced helmets. It is very comfortable, at least if you have a round head(there are several head shapes) and very well ventilated. It is reasonably light for such a full-featured and affordable helmet, and so well balanced that it feels even lighter than it is, when wearing it.

This helmet, being white, increases your visibility dramatically. Studies show that a white or hi-viz helmet is the most important piece of high-viz gear one can wear. The white is also cooler in the heat of summer.

A huge plus for me is that it is longer in the chin area than most other helmets. This puts more space between your chin and the chin bar. For me, it means that my lips are not up against the chin bar.

It comes with a breath deflector, wind curtain, locking visor, and an inner sun-shade visor which is actuated by the slider on top. The sun visor is a boon, and I can't imagine going without it now.

The one thing I wish HJC would do is put another position on the sun-visor that would allow it to come down 1/2 way, just under your line of sight.

A bonus of this helmet is that it has holes for intercoms under little insignias on the side, that are easily pried off. Also, the interior is easlily removable for installing an intercom, and there are two vent ports in the foam front liner that allow a microphone to be installes, totally out of the way, very easily. The one caveat on installing a mic in one of these ports is that you should tape over the port hole, and over the vent in front of the port as well, or you will get major wind noise...

I have actually tested one of these helmets in a crash, and it performed flawlessly. One thing to consider is that the visor has a lock on it. I usually do not use this lock, but in my crash, it locked by itself. This caused me a moment's panic when I tried to remove it, but I pulled very hard and it opened up in spite of the lock. As that helmet had been used in a crash, I bought a new HJC IS16 to replace the old one. If I had to replace my current helmet, it would be with another HJC IS16!

TIF Instruments TIF8900 Combustible Gas Detector Review

I bought this gas detector because my carbon monoxide/natural gas detector (Kidde KN-COEG-3 Nighthawk Plug-In Carbon Monoxide and Explosive Gas Alarm with Battery Backup) started randomly going off with an indication of natural gas. As it turns out the detectors were defective and were replaced by the manufacturer. To figure this out though, I bought this gas detector to go through my house.

- really bad documentation

Okay, the biggest drawback on this device is the poor documentation. I could not figure out how the sensitivity worked and basically had to use trial and error to figure out where to set the knob. That said, this detector is otherwise a fantastic device. It will even detect natural gas traces once a stove burner has been turned off. So really if there is gas or was gas coming from a fixture or a pipe, this device will detect it.

In a real world setting, I used this device to find a micro-leak at my parent's house. We would occasionally smell natural gas at their house and not at other times. Before getting this tool we could never figure out exactly where the leak was coming from.

If you have a leak or are nervous about potentially having a leak, this is the device to buy. Even though I don't need this device anymore, it's a permanent part of my toolbox for any future mishaps.
